Guided modeling

The people who do the work describe it. Blueprint models it.

Guided mode is on by default for contributors. They type or dictate how their work runs, answer one question at a time and submit the draft.

Draft quality

Clear step names, with the contributor's words kept

Blueprint gives each step a professional name and keeps the original description with it. The draft is a regular BPMN model, so lint checks it and the history records every change.

Lint lists each finding in the Issues tab and rings it on the canvas.Beautify redraws the layout. The overlap is gone, and the logic findings stay for you to decide.Every change goes into the history, where you can compare versions or undo it.
Manager review

Reviewers get the model and the tools to read it

A submitted draft lands in the manager's Contributions queue in Finder, with a BPMN preview. AI actions explain the process in plain words, check its health or measure it against the event log.

AI actions open on the process in front of you.Run optimization reads the active event log, not just the diagram. Each finding names the step, its measured time and what to check first. The report changes nothing in the model. What to act on is your call.
Full modeler

Modelers take it further with AI drafting

Process owners can open the submitted model in the full modeler. There Wisp, the AI in Geist, adds exception paths and variants in batches they keep or undo.

How AI modeling works
Say what should happen, in your own words.Parallel checks get a fork and a join, so onboarding waits until both are back. The newest group stays highlighted. Earlier ones settle into the model.Keep the draft, or undo every change in one click.
How it works

From a conversation to a reviewable draft

  1. Step 1

    Describe

Type or dictate how the work runs, as you would to a new colleague. Attachments are optional.

  2. Step 2

    Answer

Blueprint asks one question at a time, with quick answers to pick from. "I don't know" always counts.

  3. Step 3

    Check

Each step sits with the role that does it. A suggested change shows as a preview until you apply it.

  4. Step 4

    Submit

The draft goes to your manager, tied to the exact version you sent.

FAQ

Questions about guided modeling

Who works in guided mode?

Contributors: the people who know the work best but have no BPMN training. It is on by default for them. Modelers work in the full modeler.

When does Blueprint draw the BPMN?

Once the interview has covered enough to draw a sound model. Until then, Blueprint keeps asking.

What if a contributor does not know an answer?

"I don't know" is a valid answer, and the interview moves on.

Can a process owner ask someone to describe a process?

Yes. A capture request in Finder's Contributions goes to a named colleague and opens guided mode for them with that request selected.

Which languages work?

English and German, in the interface and in the answers.
